On a slightly choppy morning in early September, our buoys Kristian and Steve joined a select group of top estate agents from up and down the country in a race to win a share of the £30,000 bounty at the Rightmove Regatta – with our share going to Claire House, our partner charity.
We partnered with Claire House Children’s Hospice last year following the tragic death of the firm’s longest-serving member of staff’s child. They were truly amazing at what was such a sad time. ❤️
For the event, we headed to Portsmouth and teamed up with four other estate agents from the north. Points were awarded for each position over 3 races – we came 4th, 2nd, and 1st place in the final race. 6 boats in total were given radio instructions of each course 5 minutes in advance of each race – and the teams had to navigate and guide the boat around the 30-minute course – with a ‘little’ help from our experienced skippers! Unfortunately for us, our skipper guided us to the wrong buoy in the first race, costing us vital points 🙈. This meant 2nd place was ours – we were so close to winning but we were delighted to get the £3,000 for Claire House – which goes towards the £50,000 target we are hoping to raise.
It was an amazing day and we are thankful to Rightmove for the invite and donation.
